Crit with creatives

Very little is more rewarding for us at Pb than being part of supporting new people into our industry. We have a fantastic relationship with Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) as creativity is the engine for what we do. Our Director of Creative, Simon, and Creative Lead, Ellen, joined the Big Book Crit organised buy NUA, where a few creative types who have been round the block (more than once) engage in conversation with students who want to present their work, and hopefully learn a thing or two.

Exercise in creating a brand identity

Simon and Ellen were hugely impressed with the passion, conviction, talent and aspiration on show. It is heart-warming for the industry that so much skill and dedication is potentially coming into our industries – but only if we give them the chance.

Listening and understanding what drives them, and helping them find their path is incumbent on all of us. The creative industries thrive on change, new ideas, cutting edge and innovation and it is from groups of people like the students at NUA where this will come from. As a company that has been around for 35 years, we need to encourage and embrace the new – giving us, our clients, and the bright new minds every chance to grow and thrive. We really want to listen (and learn, and support)… so if you’re someone looking to find their place in our industries (creative, production, technical or craft) then please do get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
