Beyond reality: How virtual environments transformed our webinar series

The challenge

One of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies wanted to create a series of informative and insightful webinars that would communicate complex issues around haematology in an engaging and compelling way, changing the dynamic of virtual presentations. To drive engagement, they were looking for something that wasn’t just a series of monologues to camera and wanted to employ key brand assets to create a vibrant look and feel.

The solution

With our client, Pb developed a series of three 25-minute programmes that had a conversational and discursive approach, closer to a breakfast chat-show in its look and feel, that would engage an audience in complex haematology content. To produce this as sustainably and creatively as possible we opted for a virtual studio, building a complete greenscreen surround at the client’s offices. The host and guests were supported with comfort monitors and the latest virtual technology enabling them to focus on their content and delivery - enabling us to bring up the slide content in an unobtrusive and natural way. The virtual set design made smart use of enlarged brand elements – aiming for an uncluttered background that was bright and welcoming without being too trivial and allowing the brand to be present within all camera angles.

The outcome

By blending creativity with cutting edge-technology, we made these sessions not only informative but also visually engaging and memorable. Transforming traditional scientific communication into an interactive experience. We delivered a vibrant and engaging experience that enabled the client to compellingly communicate their content while being immersed in a brand environment. The series successfully achieved a whole new way of working, so much so that the client has commissioned a second series and potentially a third.
